Salik — meaning "open" or "clear" in Arabic — is Dubai's automated electronic toll collection system, operated by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA). Using advanced RFID technology, Salik enables completely free-flowing traffic without barriers or toll booths.
When your vehicle passes under a Salik gate, the system reads the windshield tag and deducts the AED 4 toll instantly — so you can keep moving without slowing down.
Purchase a Salik tag from ENOC/EPPCO or ADNOC petrol stations, selected banks, or online. The AED 100 package includes the tag and AED 60 preloaded credit.
Peel and stick the tag on your windshield behind the rear-view mirror, ensuring it faces outward and is clearly visible from outside.
Drive through any Salik gate at normal speed. The RFID reader detects your tag and deducts exactly AED 4 from your balance automatically.
All gates charge a flat fee of AED 4 per passage
